Do you still watch the PBA?
Back in the 70's and 80's Chris Schenkel and Bo Burton were a staple on Saturday afternoons on ABC-TV with the Pro Bowlers Tour. I made a date each week at 3PM with my Dad to sit down and watch the pros go at it for 90 minutes in the stepladder finals. I'd even go out and open bowl with my friends when it was done. Obviously times have changed and bowling has been pushed around abit, moving to cable tv now adays. While I commend the guys from Microsoft and ESPN for keeping the tour alive I just wish they'd get their heads screwed on straight and put the PBA back where it belongs...Saturdays at 3PM! Enough already with college hoops, you can watch it any other time, God knows there's 50 games a week to choose from, why not take a chance and push the envelope? Who knows, ya might even find a new generation of PBA addicts out there ready to spend some money. Don't worry you can catch that UC Irvine-Stanford game a little bit later!

I really miss bowling on Saturdays, too. But what I miss more is the Ladies Tour!
I always rooted for Leann Barrett but Tish Johnson was too tough!
The good old drinking games like bowling, darts and pool will always have an audience. It is unfortunate that TV contracts with the major sports dominate the air waves. Sure sports like College basketball are popular, but reality is how many of us watch mid-level games. Can anyone name a marquis college game they have tuned in to recently? The winter time slots are full of garbage programming. There is something about watching a sport on TV that any of us could go do that day and see how we compare with the pros.
